Would it be possible to just use the built-in OS-level proxy support for accessing the web? My corporate access is proxied via a .pac file, which isn't supported by Weatherman.

Yes, just use OSX proxy support. I thought I had deleted the proxy web stuff from WeatherMan, that code was left over from OS 9.
